But, unlike most solitaire puzzle games, in Freecell you cannot always move an entire stack of cards in one move. Instead, you can only move 1 card for every 'free space' you have available--plus one additional card. In other words, if you have 2 'empty spaces' in the tableau (spaces that once held a card and now do not) and 1 open 'free cell' (top left corner), you my move up to 4 cards.

Solitaire is a card game often known by the name of Klondike. It is one of the most populare individual card games of all time. Deal one face up card to the left of the tableau, then deal six face down cards (from left to right). On top of the face down cards, deal a face up card on the left-most face down pile, and face down cards on the rest until all piles have a face up card.
